Summer 2025 Camp Registration Now Open!
. . . take off for summer days filled with fun, friendship and discovery as they explore an exciting range of all–new world destinations
Our Summer Explorers summer camp programs, for campers entering 1st-2nd grades, blend traditional summer day camp(Outdoor games, crafts, and projects) with STEM/STEAM-Inspired Discovery (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math), providing programs where, each week, campers will have hands-on opportunities to explore a unique technology.
Your child can build & program robots, create & code interactive, animated games and stories, invent & launch digital gadgets. . . and more, with projects from beginner to advanced!
This year, Summer Explorers is offered at the following locations:
+ Onsite, in the Rockland County/Pascack Valley Area (@ SJR Campus-Montvale)
+ Onsite, in the Ridgewood/Glen Rock Area (@ Camp LIA-Ridgewood)

Summer 2025 Camp Schedule
On the Road to a Roman Holiday!

- June 23-27 @ Camp LIA, Ridgewood Only
- Hours: 9 a.m. - 1p.m.
All Roads Lead to Rome! Your camper and their mates will see the sights, explore the history and discover the diverse culture of ancient Rome. We’ll play some of the games Roman children played, share the stories they heard, create Roman own frescoes & mosaics, and even find out what it is like to make and wear their very own toga!
STEAM/STEM Discovery: This Roman Holiday also will include opportunities for your camper to build and play with a range of awesome simple machines, create & program a LEGO robotic chariot—with projects for campers of all skill levels!
It’s Magical, Musical Mardi Gras!

Get Ready, it’s time for Mardi Gras! Beads, baubles and a rich gumbo of music will be everywhere around us as your camper and their mates explore the sights, traditions and folk customs of City of New Orleans! We’ll top the week off with our own Mardi Gras celebration, complete with a parade, costumes. . . all that Jazz, too! (No Camp 7/4)
STEAM/STEM Discovery: Your camper will have opportunities create & code their very own digital musical instruments & computer controllers; build a model of the Lake Pontchartrain bridge, discover what makes a boat float, hold back the floodwaters of the mighty Mississippi and more!

There’s is no limit to your child’s imagination. . . and the awesome science experiments they’ll have opportunities to create! Each day your camper will discover a different scientist or inspirational inventor, as they conduct their own hands on science experiments!
STEAM/STEM Discovery: Your camper will be engaging in a series of hands-on science experiments including growing a crystal, testing the effect of gravity, and a whole lot more!
Living on the Moon!

It’s T-minus 10 seconds to fun as we take-off to colonize the moon! Your camper and their campmates will get discover what it would be like to live on the Moon, with opportunities to create & inhabit their own Moon colony, try their hand at some NASA-inspired Astronaut training exercises, build & code their own LEGO robotic lunar rover , create a 3D space shuttle mock-up and climb aboard, too!
STEAM/STEM Discovery: With projects from beginner to advanced, your camper may build & code LEGO robots that will help in their moon mission, work with crewmates to design a new spaceship or a 3D model of their new Moon colony.

G’day! We’re off to Australia: The Land Down Under! It a world filled with strange creatures and amazing new cultures just waiting to be discovered. As we move through the Outback, campers will learn about how Australia’s Aboriginal people use the resources around them to survive and thrive. They’ll also discover a range of the awesomely unique animals in equally unique habitats, native only to Australia.
STEAM/STEM Discovery: While Down Under, your camper will have opportunities that include building & coding their own LEGO robotic rover-car, installing sensors so their rover car can “see” objects and react and more!
All Aboard the India Express!

All aboard, as we set out on the rails and trails across many of the awe-inspiring regions of India! Your camper and their mates will play the games local children play, share an incredible collection of folk tales, learn a diverse range of regional customs, and discover the unique wildlife of this amazing country.
STEAM/STEM Discovery: While on their journey, your camper will put the A in STEAM as they use the Sketchbook app to create their own series of artwork using shapes and themes from around India!
Spies of Mysterious Madegascar!

Calling all agents! There is a super-secret spy ring on the island of Madagascar that has kidnapped the King of the Lemurs! Your child and their campmates will spring into action to foil the plot and rescue the king! Throughout the week, they’ll develop the tricks & techniques it takes be a spy. They’ll work together to put their spy skills into action and create spy gadgets, all while studying the culture and wildlife of this East African island!
STEAM/STEM Discovery: Here’s where your camper can create their own spy gadgets using the LittleBits digital invention system, learn how to take & read fingerprints, develop and crack their own secret spy codes and more!
See the Sights of South America!

We are off on a South American adventure! We’ll discover the diverse cultures of the many nations that make up our neighbors to the south. We’ll explore Peru and the Andes, Brazil and the Amazon Rainforest, and more. Each day throughout the week, our campers will encounter different peoples, their art, children’s folk tales and games!!
STEAM/STEM Discovery: Snap! Your camper will be able to build & code an alligator that uses a sensor to try and bite a snack , plus create, code & animate their own travel diary, using MIT’s age-appropriate Scratch Jr. programming language, too!
Survivor: Shipwreck Island

Uh, Oh! We’ve shipwrecked on a tropical island. It is now up to our crew of campers to use their imaginations and some cool technology to create our new home away from home. While on the “island,” your child and their campmates will build a full-sized, outdoors castaways fort, use it as home base for a full slate of adventures, harness the summer sun to cook a snack. . . make water with it, too. . . and that’s just for starters!
STEAM/STEM Discovery: Your camper will be designing, building and decorating their own full-size castaway island-shelter, constructing & cooking in solar oven, discovering how pulling water out of the air and more!

To register, find the week for your child’s age group and chosen location; click register, and a registration form will open! This registration form will allow you to select additional programs as well as add multiple children.

We understand that your day doesn’t start or end when camp does, that’s why we offer our Extended Day options for both before & after camp. Please contact us at info@littleivyacademy.com or by calling 201-444-8400 to add an optional Extended Day.
Super Early Registration Discounts
(Expire on February 1)
+ 5% Discount for enrolling your child in 1 week
+ 10% Discount for enrolling your child in 2-3 or more weeks
+ 15% Discount for enrolling your child in 4 or more weeks; or
+ 15% Discount for each additional sibling who also enrolls.
