Our RealScience summer camp programs for campers entering 3rd-5th and 6th-8th graders mix the Real Discovery of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) with the Real Fun of a variety next-gen and traditional indoor & outdoor day-camp activities–with projects from beginner to advanced!
This year, RealScience & Express Yourself Camp is offered at the following locations:
+ Onsite, in Rockland County/Pascack Valley Area (@ SJR Campus-Montvale)
+ Onsite, in Ridgewood/Glen Rock Area (@ Camp LIA-Ridgewood)

Summer 2025 Camp Schedule
GameMakers:
We’re on An Adventure!

- June 23-27 @ Camp LIA, Ridgewood Only
- Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Ages: Separate programs for campers entering 3rd-5th grade or 6th-8th grade.
Program Description: Your child can set off on an epic adventure where they create and code their story-based video games! Campers, using MIT’s Scratch coding language, will dream up exciting plots, design characters full of personality, and set up quests for players to conquer. By the end of the week, they’ll have built their playable tales!
Eyes on Spies:
Be a Future Spy!

Program Description: Prepare for an action-packed week of mystery, technology, and high-stakes adventure! Your young agents will join forces to solve top-secret cases using cutting-edge tools and gadgets. Campers will be able to learn about and fly drones, master the art of deciphering complex ciphers, and work together to crack thrilling escape room challenges. Each day will bring new challenges that combine teamwork, technology, and lots of spy-themed excitement. Are you ready to accept your mission?
ScienceMakers:
Let’s Test it Out!

Program Description: Let your child try out the fun for themselves as they spend their week doing hands-on Science Experiments! Campers will dive into the exciting world of science and technology as they work together to create and run their own experiments. They’ll put their theories to the test as they test the science behind growing a crystal, discover the mysteries behind creating kinetic sand, and more fun experiments! This camp is the best place for your child to participate in wonders of exploring STEAM in a creative and engaging environment!
RobotMakers:
Lego League Challenge!

- Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Ages: Separate programs for campers entering 3rd-5th grade or 6th-8th grade.
Program Description: Challenge Accepted! Your child and their campmates will create and launch incredible 21st-century automated machines to tackle special challenges, inspired past challenges from the LEGO League! Using LEGO SPIKE robotic system, an age-appropriate coding language, teamwork, and creativity, your child will develop unique robotic solutions that can respond to light and sound, automate tasks, and tackle a variety of fun problem-solving missions!

Program Description: Unlock the secret code to summer fun when your child joins us to make the most of their Minecraft skills! Each day, campers will utilize the Minecraft Education tool to create and code, discovering new concepts, skills they’ll need in their virtual world! The camp will culminate in a huge group build, where campers will use everything they’ve got to create their own structure or ride!
DesignMakers:
Drawn into Comics

Ages: Separate programs for campers entering 3rd-5th grade or 6th-8th grade.
Program Description: Your child will dive into the excitement of drawing their very own book or comic from start to finish! They’ll explore the art of storytelling, learn how to structure a story, and master pen-and-paper techniques to bring their ideas to life. Throughout the week, campers of all skill levels will develop their unique plots, design memorable characters, and sketch out the worlds in which their stories take place. By the end of camp, they’ll have a complete, hand-drawn book or comic to share and be proud of!
VideoMakers STOP Animation: Let’s Make it Move!

Ages: Separate programs for campers entering 3rd-5th grade or 6th-8th grade.
Program Description: Fill your child’s summer with creativity and animation magic! Campers will discover the art of stop-motion filmmaking, using a variety of materials to create their own unique actors, locations, and props. Each day, your child and their camp mates will use new mediums, including: sculpting clay, paper, and more to breath into their creations—making characters walk and talk. By the end of the week, they’ll have a series of imaginative, stop-motion animations to share and be proud of!
RobotMakers:
Robots in Disguise!

- Aug 18-22 @ Camp LIA, Ridgewood
- Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Ages: Separate programs for campers entering 3rd-5th grade or 6th-8th grade.
Program Description: Your child will uncover the fun of high-tech creativity and mind-blowing transformations of the LEGO Robotics they create! Campers will spend each day engineering and coding an amazing array of robots, including ones that, walk, or use other materials to “disguise” what they are. When your child joins us there will be no end to the creativity and fun!
